This review is for takeout service only.

We ordered a large takeout order to be ready for Thanksgiving Sunday at 2pm. We placed the order a week before.

Dishes that were ordered: Japchae, Tangsuyuk, Fried Shrimp and Vegetables tempura, Bulgogi, Jeyuk Bokkeum, Kkanpunggi, Bossam, Stir fried octopus and some banchan like Kimchi and Bean Sprouts.

Food was ready on time. They took extreme care to pack the food very well as it was a pretty large order and safe to say that it did not spill on our way to my In-laws.

The Jeyuk Bokkeum and the Kkanpunggi were the best dishes as the rest of the dishes were good to average.
The Bulgogi felt a bit plain while the Fried Tempura was not hot. I'll probably leave that to the distance and not anything the restaurant did in term of preparation.

Next time, we'll plan to eat at the restaurant.

My Airbnb was right next to Koreatown so I had to get Korean food. There are a ton of restaurants to choose from so I knew I sadly wouldn't be able to sample them all (at once, at least; I will be back!) so I looked to Yelp for help. Doo Roo Ae seemed to have great reviews, and I immediately decided this was the spot when I saw that they give japchae as a banchan (side). Japchae is my favorite, and the fact that I could get it WITH an entree and not have to order it separately was amazing (they have an entree-sized japchae if you want that, too).

Banchan are the little plates of sides that either come up before or with your entree at Korean restaurants. The banchan at Doo Roo Ae included the japchae, tofu, oi kimchi (cucumber), seaweed salad, mung bean sprouts, kimchi (cabbage), sweet potatoes, and kkakdugi (Korean radish kimchi). All of them were delicious!

I ordered the deep fried pork mandu as an appetizer, and at 10 pieces, it is a super filling app and could honestly be an entree. My brother and I were the only ones dining, so it was a lot for us (not a complaint!). I got the beef bulgogi with rice as my entree and it was fab. The bulgogi had great flavor and the extra sauce seeped into the rice, which was even more yummy. My brother got the sweet and sour chicken and it was breaded well with a delicious sauce.

The service here was wonderful. The ajummas running this place clearly take great care in preparing their food! Highly recommend for great Korean food.

This is me and my husband's go-to Korean restaurant in Toronto.
It's located in Old Koreatown and it's SO GOOD!

This is a sizable restaurant and there are about 10 tables that seat 4-6 people each. They have a wide variety of options and a lot of banchan(side dishes). My favorite banchan is the potatoes and kimchi. They actually make their own kimchi, so it's always fresh!

You will get japchae as an appetizer while you wait for your entrees and the japchae tastes like something my aunt would cook.
I usually get soondaeguk and my husband usually gets soondoobu here, but overall, the food is DELICIOUS.

Most of all, the ahjummas here are SO friendly and kind. It feels like coming into a relative's house and having a meal.
I would absolutely take family and friends to this place. :D

Friend of mine took me here after a long day on the golf course. Came in and was nicely greeted by the staff right away. The style of food I noticed was more home style cooked food. I got the bibimbap with the spicy pork, it was cooked perfectly and the spice level was just right for what I was looking for. The portions were great and I was very full after, the meal also included your small typical korean side dishes. Our party also ordered the dumplings which had a nice tasty crispy outside.  Would come here again for sure!

The bulgogi bimbimbap was good and the side dishes were really good, much variety. Overall good experience and I'd come back!
